How do the Markets operate?
Our food markets operate seven days a week, where it is sorted, organised by volunteers, and laid out on tables for the community to come through and choose what they take.

Donations are not optional, but they are appreciated to help us continue with our operations as we receive no government funding. Most people will give a gold coin but sometimes more is donated.

This is purely dependent on what is collected from supermarkets on the day. There is always fresh fruit, vegetables and bread products and usually eggs and some meat. On weekends there should also be a variety of non-perishable items (canned food, cereal, drinks, flour etc).
How much food can I take?
Up to two standard grocery bags plus bread products. Dependent on what food is available on the day.
Can I bring my children/other family members?
Children are welcome at the market, but we request that only one adult per household waits in the queue.

- People can bring two shopping bags for food. As quantities of food vary daily, the volunteers will advise how much food you can take on the day and if there are any restrictions.
- We aim to be fair and have a system that randomly determines people's place in the queue (Currently we use coloured cards that have been randomly handed out to determine what order people go through). Once a market has started, you may have to wait till all the cards have been called before going through.
- Please don't arrive any earlier than 30 minutes prior to opening time
- Any questions, please ask the volunteers.
