WHERE TO ACCESS FREE FOOD

Daily Market

Eastern Food Rescue distributes food daily at our 'market' at Eastland in Ringwood.

MARKET HOURS
The market generally runs for between 30 - 45 minutes
Monday: 11.30am and after 8.15pm
Tuesday: 11.30am
Wednesday: 11.30am and after 8.15pm
Thursday AM: 11.30am (morning market
pension/concession card holders only)
Thursday PM: After 8.15pm
Friday: 11.30am
Saturday: From 11am
Sunday: From 11am
How the Market Works
  • Please don't arrive any earlier than 30 minutes prior to opening time
  • Please bring two shopping bags for food. As quantities of food vary daily, the volunteers will advise how much food you can take.
  • We request a $2 donation to cover costs (cash & card accepted)
  • We aim to be fair and have a system that randomly determines people's place in the queue (Currently we use coloured cards that have been randomly handed out to determine what order people go through). Once a market has started, you may have to wait till all the cards have been called before going through.
  • Any questions, please ask the volunteers.
